My dog has skin fungus
My dog has a fungus problem that just won’t go awayAbout three years ago my 2 year old King Charles Spaniel was diagnosed with fungus on his skin. At the time my vet told me to bath him in betadine, leaving on his skin for 5 minutes before shampooing him off and that seemed to help for a little while. Next I tried an antifungal cream which also helped but smelled TERRIBLE. I’ve taken him to a specialist who gave me some wipes and other medication for the condition, but nothing seems to get a good handle on this reoccurring problem.
I’m at my wits end. Can you help???

Been able to help, so your advice is VERY much appreciated! Sorry it is long...
I am writing this in the hopes someone has experience with the symptoms my dog is exhibiting. As a background, she is a 9 year old spayed female blue brindle American Staffordshire Terrier. With her recessive coat has come many skin issues. She also has urinary leakage, so she was on PPA from about the age of two, and then switched to DES at age 6. She has hip dysplasia and was on rimadyl and other meds starting at age 4 to relieve pain off and on for about 2 years, but I took her off them about 3 years ago
